Nonabelian mixed Hodge structures

چکیده
We propose a definition of “nonabelian mixed Hodge structure” together with a construction associating to a smooth projective variety X and to a nonabelian mixed Hodge structure V , the “nonabelian cohomology of X with coefficients in V ” which is a (pre-)nonabelian mixed Hodge structure denoted H = Hom(XM , V ). We describe the basic definitions and then give some conjectures saying what is supposed to happen. At the end we compute an example: the case where V has underlying homotopy type the complexified 2-sphere, and mixed Hodge structure coming from its identification with P. For this example we show that Hom(XM , V ) is a namhs for any smooth projective variety X. The Hodge filtration on nonabelian cohomology
Whereas usual Hodge theory concerns mainly the usual or abelian cohomology of an algebraic variety—or eventually the rational homotopy theory or nilpotent completion of π1 which are in some sense obtained by extensions—nonabelian Hodge theory concerns the cohomology of a variety with nonabelian coefficients. Because of the basic fact that homotopy groups in higher dimensions are abelian, and si...
متن کاملExtensions of mixed Hodge structures
According to Deligne, the cohomology groups of a complex algebraic variety carry a generalized Hodge structure, or, in precise terms, a mixed Hodge structure [2]. The purpose of this paper is to introduce an absract theory of extensions of mixed Hodge structures which has proved useful in the study of low-dimensional varieties [1]. To give the theory meaning, we will give one simple, but illust...

This paper is an extended version of an expository talk given at the workshop “Topology of Stratified Spaces” at MSRI in September 2008. It gives an introduction and overview about recent developments on the interaction of the theories of characteristic classes and mixed Hodge theory for singular spaces in the complex algebraic context. It uses M. Saito’s deep theory of mixed Hodge modules as a...
متن کاملNiveaux de R-scindement de structures de Hodge mixtes
We propose a generalization of the notion of R-split mixed Hodge structure by defining a Rsplitting level for mixed Hodge structures. This is a discrete invariant taking values in positive integers and equal to 0 for R-split mixed Hodge structures. We describe some properties of this invariant for classical operations on these structures and give some explicit calculation. Résumé Nous proposons...
